Diversity at Vanderbilt
School of Nursing
“Diversity” itself is a word that means many
different things at Vanderbilt School of Nursing.
Ours is a community that welcomes students, faculty and professional colleagues with many different professional backgrounds, ethnicities and perspectives on life as well as on the discipline of nursing. The vast diversity of thought and experience you will find here will not only enrich your learning, it will also serve as a valuable foundation as you seek and fulfill your professional goals in nursing.
Our School of Nursing is a place where diverse advanced practice specialties, many entry options, varied clinical settings, multiple degree programs, numerous research initiatives and people with different ideas and experiences create the learning environment. For many of our advanced practice specialties, we even offer diverse ways to study – on campus or through distributed course delivery and flexible formats from where you live.
Please continue to learn more on this website – including the student perspectives about cultural diversity and other areas found in our Life at Vanderbilt School of Nursing section. If you have specific questions about our diverse community, please contact my office or plan to join us for an open house in March or October each year.
We look forward to getting to know you… and your perspectives… better.
