Email

Student email accounts* for August and December graduates will be accessible until May 2013. May 2013 graduates will have access to email for four months following graduation. If you are using an alternate email address, please have your Vanderbilt email forwarded there. Information regarding Commencement is distributed through the Vanderbilt email system. Following Commencement, if you do not work at Vanderbilt, you will begin to receive notices concerning your upcoming account termination date. Please visit its.vanderbilt.edu/vnet for more information.

Alumni Association Membership
Membership in the Alumni Association begins at the Pinning Ceremony. There are no membership dues or fees. To find out how to get involved, send an email to the alumni board president at alumninursing@vanderbilt.edu

Vanderbilt Nurse Magazine
Vanderbilt Nurse is an exciting look at everything that is happening at the school with news, feature stories, class notes and faculty updates. Published by the School of Nursing in cooperation with the Vanderbilt Medical Center Office of News and Communications, Vanderbilt Nurse is published once in the spring and again in the fall. It is also viewable online year-round with enhanced content including video clips and helpful links.

Vanderbilt Nurse E-news
Vanderbilt Nurse E-news is distributed through email twice a year by the School of Nursing and is another important link to the latest happenings at your alma mater. Make sure we have your current email address on file so that you can stay up to date with the latest news on the nursing school and changes in the nursing profession.

Library Access
Nursing alumni have access to all the on-site resources at the Eskind Biomedical Library. You must present a Vanderbilt University ID card to enter—cards are available at the Sarratt Student Center Card Office (first floor) for $10.

Parking is available in the 22nd Avenue South garage. Contact Vanderbilt University Medical Center Parking and Transportation—(615) 936-1215—to learn more about garage access. Please have your approximate arrival time and length of stay available.

Alumni also have free access to the Alumni Digital Library. While the library cannot provide access to subscription journals and databases, it has collected links to free opportunities for continuing education, association, consumer health, government and other resources, including some freely available open access journals. Access to the alumni ProQuest subscription is also available and provides a wide range of health care information, from dissertations to governmental and cultural archives to news. To access, email alumninursing@vanderbilt.edu  for a confidential passcode or contact Susan Shipley by email or phone—(615) 936-3046. After receiving the passcode by email, log on at https://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/diglib/alumni

None of this would be possible without the generous help of the Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association and support from the Eskind Biomedical Library, and we are deeply grateful for this opportunity supported by our medical colleagues.
