The School of Nursing has a representative from the Office of News and Public Affairs available 365 days a year to assist news media seeking nursing experts, who can provide information on nursing education, research discoveries, nursing shortage and staffing issues, the emerging nursing faculty shortage, patient safety and quality of care, nurse wellness, emergency preparedness, holistic and complimentary nursing, and more.Members of the news media wishing to speak with experts from the School of Nursing after regular business hours should dial 615-322-4747 and ask the Message Center operator to page the on-call representative.
