Housing

Vanderbilt does not offer on-campus housing for graduate students. School of Nursing students live in apartments located off campus.

The Housing Office maintains an extensive off-campus roommate housing database of current Vanderbilt students and admitted students who are looking for roommates. The database also has a listing of off-campus apartments available for lease. This database can only be accessed via password which is available only to admitted students and current students. For password information, contact the Admissions Office at 615-322-3800. In addition to viewing roommate and apartment listings, you can post listings.

The Tennessean web site, which is the local paper, at www.tennessean.com is also an excellent resource for finding off-campus housing. To access rental property listings go to the "Apartments" link on the Tennessean Home page. Note, many apartment communities in Nashville offer special discounts to Vanderbilt students.

Ms. Kathy Hutchison at 615.322.2591 in the Housing Office can answer off-campus housing questions and has information such as maps, apartment listings, and Nashville information. Ms. Cheryl Feldner in the Admissions Office is also available to answer off-campus housing questions. Once students are admitted to the School of Nursing they will receive housing information in the spring with helpful information.

More information about the housing programs can be found at Office of Housing & Residential Education.
