New Students

Jan 15	Financial Aid forms mailed to all applicants
Jan/Feb	Complete your federal taxes to have the information needed to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
	File FAFSA
	Complete internal (VUSN) scholarship application and Graduate School financial aid application.
March 5	Full-tuition merit-based scholarship applications mailed to all eligible applicants
Mid to late Apr	Receive notice of scholarships/loans awarded by VUSN Financial Aid Services
	Receive official Financial Aid award letter from the university Office of Financial Aid
May/Jun	Complete and submit online loan applications to your lenders
Aug	Enroll in the School of Nursing
	Scholarships and loans credited to your student account

Late March	Information on applying for financial aid emailed to all current/returning students
March-April	Complete your federal taxes to have the information needed to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

	Complete internal (VUSN) 2nd Year/Returning Nursing Graduate/Professional Financial Aid and Scholarship Application
Mid to late May	Candidates chosen to complete for full tuition merit based scholarship
Late June	Receive notice of scholarships/loans awarded by VUSN Student Financial Services Office
	Receive official Financial Aid award letter
June-July	Complete and submit online loan applications for loans
Late August	Scholarships and loans credited to your student account
