‪Chance Allen is a clinical instructor in the pre-specialty program.  In addition to teaching, he works at Healing Arts Psychiatry, a private practice he started with his wife, Diane, who is also a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. He also works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Integrative Life Center in Nashville, where he precepts a Vanderbilt specialty year nursing student. Chance has experience in working with persons with addictions, across the lifespan, using interventions ranging from medical detox to psychotherapy, and is very familiar with social programs designed to treat addiction. He has a master’s level background in social work that complements his passion for nursing.
