Melanie Allison is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 17 years of cardiovascular nursing experience as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Melanie worked as a nurse practitioner at the Vanderbilt Lipid Clinic for several years where she managed complicated lipid clients and worked alongside two of the world’s leading lipid expert physician researchers. She recently earned her Post-Masters Nurse Educator Certificate from Johns Hopkins University where she is also in school to earn her DNP. She currently teaches clinical courses in the pre-specialty level at VUSN.
