Wireless Networking at VUSN
VUSN has wireless network access in several locations, including the Atrium, Frist Hall, the Annex, and Godchaux Hall.If you will be buying a new laptop computer, we recommend that you buy the wireless network card that comes with it (built-in/internal). If you already own a laptop without wireless capability, you may wish to purchase a wireless card. Not only will you be able to take advantage of wireless connectivity at VUSN but also at other locations around the Medical Center and the rest of the Vanderbilt campus. Vanderbilt recommends that you purchase a model of wireless card from one of the manufacturers listed in the link below.
A non-broadcasting SSID is required to login to the VU wireless network. To get this SSID and information on configuring your system, go to Vanderbilt's wireless SSID web page (VunetID and e-password required). The VUSN network staff is also available for assistance configuring your devices during orientation. There will be a sign with days and times posted in the Atrium during orientation. If you miss orientation the network staff will also be available during normal business hours to help you configure your devices.
